Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including wine and spirits, to enhance guest experience through upselling techniques. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety. Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and provide correct change using POS systems. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food handling protocols. Engage with guests positively, addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure guest satisfaction and foster guest relations. Requirements Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, especially in breakfast or lunch service environments. Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently. Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately. Experience with beverage service including wine knowledge, spirits, cocktail preparation, and drink service is a plus. Hospitality background with experience in fine dining or casual dining environments is beneficial. OpenTable familiarity for reservations management is advantageous.
