Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail Provide menu recommendations, including wine pairings or specialty items, to enhance guest experience through upselling techniques like OpenTable reservations or suggestive selling Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, food safety, and sanitation protocols Manage guest relations by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly to ensure complete satisfaction Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales Assist with food handling, bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly during busy hours, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or upscale establishments Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest interactions professionally Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving tables, taking orders, and processing payments Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and transaction management Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable or similar tools is a plus Previous host/host or serving experience in nightlife venues or restaurants is advantageous Knowledge of culinary terminology and kitchen operations can enhance service delivery Embark on a rewarding career where your energy fuels memorable dining experiences!
