This role is for Winter 2026/2027.
Basic Function/Overview:
Join Saddleback's food and beverage team and deliver top-notch customer service to our guests! Our wait staff is friendly, professional, outgoing, and customer-oriented, so bring your best smile and a positive attitude. Become a part of the team that makes great meals and memories happen! The waitstaff's job is a front-of-the-house, directly guest-facing, hands-on position. Waitstaff meets and greets guests and provides them with top-notch customer service from start to finish of the guest experience.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to: Greet customers as they are seated and provide customer service while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Offer timely assistance to customers to ensure that all present needs are met such as necessary utensils, drinks, napkins, etc. Take orders, guide patrons through the restaurant offerings, supply information to help with food/beverage selections, and assist patrons with special dietary needs. Take orders from the kitchen to customers, ensuring that all food is delivered to the correct table and that the food is prepared correctly. Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies. Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring about needs and observing the dining process. Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals. Ensure that patrons receive their bills in a timely manner and that all orders are properly listed and priced. Process payments, operate the POS register, and return receipts to customers. Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments. Additional duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills. Professional, attentive and detail orientated. Obtain appropriate food and beverage licenses. Possess general math and computer skills. Have some sales ability.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 17 years or older to serve alcohol. Previous serving experience is preferred. Food preparation experience is preferred.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Ability to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 pounds.
