Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and efficient order management. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth dining experience. Take accurate orders using Toast POS systems ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process all sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and tip distribution. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; bus tables and reset stations as needed. Engage with guests to provide personalized service, answer questions about menu items (including wine knowledge and cocktail ingredients), and foster guest relations for repeat business. Qualifications Proficiency with POS systems Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately; familiarity with cash handling procedures required. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude; previous host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
