Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menus Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits recommendations, to enhance guest experience Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions smoothly, ensuring accuracy in sales transactions processing Upsell menu items, including cocktails, wines, and specialty dishes, to maximize sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, stations, and service areas; assist with bussing and food handling as needed Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations at all times Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food delivery and resolve any guest concerns promptly Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or special requests with enthusiasm and professionalism Qualifications Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs effectively Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently Culinary experience or food industry knowledge is beneficial; spirits experience or cocktail expertise is highly valued Ability to handle food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures confidently Experience with wine knowledge or beverage service enhances your ability to upsell and recommend options confidently Host/hostess or cashiering experience can be an asset in providing seamless guest experiences Join us if you're passionate about delivering memorable dining experiences!
