8 Midland Park, NJ Job Details Part-time $20.50 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication English Customer inquiry handling High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Duties Provide prompt service to residents in accordance with the guidelines of the Dining Room Service Manual. Answer and respond immediately to resident inquiries and requests. If necessary, escort residents to their tables in the Dining Room. Observe and report to the Supervisor any significant changes in residents' appetite and/or behavior. Prepare the Dining Room prior to the meal services as per the Dining Room Supervisor's instructions. Clean up following meals (including vacuuming and/or sweeping floors) and set up for the next seating. Keep track of resident attendance at each seating, including the number of guests. Assist with kitchen preparation as assigned by the Supervisor, including salad prep, butter dishes, milk pitchers, etc. Update menu jackets daily, as instructed. Position Qualifications Prior experience in a food-serving establishment. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills. Competent in organizational, and time management skills. Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to multitask. Sense of responsibility and pleasant demeanor. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods. Education High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency certificate. Job Setting/Physical Demands To fulfill job requirements, the employee must be able to perform key physical tasks for extended periods of time. Proper body mechanics and safety measures as prescribed by the residence must be used. In a typical eight-hour day, the employee may: Stand/walk six to eight hours a day. Frequently support up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lift/carry up to 20 pounds. Frequently kneel, bend, and reach. Salary commensurate with experience within posted range $20.50/Hour Please note that selection of the candidate for any position will depend on several factors, including the individual's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
