Server/Cashier Job Description Malay Restaurant is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Server/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate should provide excellent customer service, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and cooperate well with other team members. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service Explain menu items and answer customers' questions Take accurate dine-in, takeout, and phone orders Enter orders using the Toast POS system Serve food and beverages in a timely manner Pack and check takeout and delivery orders carefully Process cash and credit card payments accurately Refill water, clear tables, and reset tables for new customers Keep the dining room, front counter, and service areas clean and organized Refill utensils, napkins, sauces, and other supplies Communicate clearly with kitchen staff regarding orders and special requests Handle customer concerns politely and professionally Complete opening and closing duties as assigned Qualifications Previous restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, but training will be provided Toast POS experience is a plus Friendly, responsible, punctual, and able to work well with a team Able to multitask and remain calm during busy hours Able to stand for extended periods and carry food trays Must be available to work weekends and some holidays Must be legally authorized to work in the
