Job Description

Job Summary Dune is looking for passionate and experienced fine dining servers to join our new restaurant opening this summer at the Jersey Shore. We are centered around coastal Italian cuisine with seasonal fresh ingredients. The ideal candidate will be someone that has fine dining experience in a fast place, high volume establishment with emphasis on hospitality and a memorable guest experience. You should possess a natural drive and ability to work together in a team setting. Responsibilities Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items and ability to describe full plate descriptions Follow steps of service with efficiency Anticipate guest needs Ensure constant communication with team members during service Maintain restaurants' high level of standards with cleanliness and appearance throughout the building before, during and after service. Must be able to work in a team dynamic Provide exception hospitality to ensure a memorable guest experiences Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a professional demeanor. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, Toast, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated. Present menus effectively, up selling appetizers, drinks, desserts, and specialty items to enhance the guest experience. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols. Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations. Clear tables efficiently, bus dishes, and reset tables swiftly to maintain a smooth flow of service. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery, ensuring accuracy and presentation quality. Manage cash handling accurately during transactions, including cashiering duties and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas according to sanitation standards and assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed. Promote the restaurant's offerings through effective upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Experience 3 years Fine Dining experience Full weekend available required Clean and organized work habits and attention to detail Ability to work in an efficient, fast paced, high volume service Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills Complete opening and closing duties as assigned Maintain clean work space and comply with health and safety standards Positive attitude, desire to learn and ability to work as part of a team and provide support to other team members Able to stand for long periods of time and balance multiple tasks at once Previous fine dining or upscale restaurant experience is highly preferred; familiarity with the food industry is essential. Proven customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction in a hospitality setting. Experience operating Toast POS systems.
