Duties Safely transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating or garnishing when needed to support kitchen staff. Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. Buss tables by removing used dishes, utensils, and glassware to keep the space tidy and inviting. Support host/hostess staff by managing guest flow and seating arrangements during busy periods. Handle food handling responsibilities following safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are maintained. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary needs of guests. Skills Previous experience in food service, restaurant environments, or hospitality roles is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math for order accuracy and cash handling when needed. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing. Experience with beverage preparation, dishwashing, or meal preparation is a plus. Excellent in-person customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that enhances guest relations.
