17 West is a premiere American Bistro in New Bremen, Ohio. This unique dining experience features a full lunch and dinner menu, daily specials, a wide selection of cocktails and live entertainment. With an upscale, contemporary menu and a casual atmosphere, the restaurant offers options for business lunches, an evening out and everything in between. Job Posting External Job Duties Wait Staff Duties - Take orders, answer questions about food and drink options, and serve food promptly. Provide excellent customer service and ensure a warm and friendly dining experience. Be knowledgeable about menu items, wine lists, and special features. Utilize suggestive selling techniques when taking orders. Address customer concerns and escalate to Restaurant Manager when needed. Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain restaurant cleanliness in front and back of house. Ensure all tables are properly set for service. Ring in orders and communicate changes or special items to kitchen staff. Coordinate food service between kitchen and bar service staff. Promote a positive and friendly environment. Suggest ideas for improvement. Provide backup to other positions. Follow all health and safety regulations and practice personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work hours. Minimum Qualifications Less than 2 years related experience High school diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age Per 8-hour shift. Stand for 8 hours. Typical restaurant environment (Low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, grease, wet floors, and vibrations.) Regular interactions with others and performs a degree of independent work. Continuously lifts 11 to 20 pounds. Frequently lifts 21 to 30 pounds. Occasionally lifts 41 to 50 pounds. Infrequently lifts 51 to 100 pounds. Continuously bend/stoop/twist (greater than 30 degrees). Preferred Qualifications Detail oriented, patient, and conscientious. Able to follow procedures and processes with a cautious approach in decision making. Communicate in a factual, polite, and professional manner.
