As a Lead Server, you will be leading a team of servers and serving meals while creating a clean and beautiful table for residents and guests to enjoy. You must be able to relate positively and favorably to staff, residents and families and enjoy working on a team while continuing to promote our mission and vision. Mary's Woods is a non-profit senior living community founded in 2001. We offer independent living, assisted living, memory care and residential care in a park-like setting on 40 acres in Lake Oswego. We pride ourselves on our rich heritage, spirit of caring and welcoming culture. We are seeking passionate team members to join us in fulfilling our mission and values. Below are some of the core responsibilities, experience and skills needed to be successful: Create an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates differences Seek opportunities to gain experience working and collaborating in diverse, multicultural, and inclusive settings with a willingness to change for continual improvement Support the training of team members to ensure consistency in our steps of service Provide direction and guidance to all front-of-house service staff and resolve guest issues encountered by the service staff in absence of a supervisor or manager Demonstrate knowledge of menu offerings including daily specials, soups, desserts, and our beverage program Demonstrate knowledge of food sanitation, workplace safety, housekeeping procedures, and food service techniques Complete opening and closing duties as well as appropriate side work as designated by established procedures Communicate with managers on department matters and concerns involving residents, employees, other departments, safety, and sanitation Assist in the set-up of tables and the seating of residents Must be courteous at all times, taking resident food orders, serving food, bussing tables, and resetting table once the resident has departed Must maintain a pleasant demeanor and demonstrate excellent communication skills Other duties may include those of Host, Barista, and Bartender with some guidelines and etiquette specific to those duties, additional training will be provided
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum one (1) year of serving or front-of-house experience required Minimum six months of leadership experience in restaurants, hotels or retirement preferredCurrent Oregon Food Handlers Card Employee Benefits:

This is a full time position and requires the ability and willingness to work flexible hours and days, including weekends and holidays. The current available schedule is Tuesday - Saturday.
