Job SummaryProvide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests by taking orders, making recommendations when appropriate, processing payments, and serving food or beverages to customers at the counter. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final order preparation, including preparing beverages and arranging food items.
Activities & ResponsibilitiesPromote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Limegreen Southeast Asian Grill.
Serve food and beverages to customers.
Prepare bills for food and accept payment or make change.
Cook food or prepare food items according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications or following directions.
Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.
Balance receipts and payments in cash registers.
Wrap menu items such as sandwiches and hot entr es for serving, online orders, or takeout.
Scrub and polish counters, steam tables, and other equipment, and clean glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment.
Replenish foods at serving stations.
Brew coffee and tea and fill containers with requested beverages.
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
Fill in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
SupplementalOrder items needed to replenish supplies.
Set up dining areas for meals and clear them following meals.
Deliver orders to kitchens, and pick up and serve food when it is ready.
Add relishes and garnishes to food orders according to instructions.
Tools & TechnologyCommercial use: blenders, mixers, coffee grinders, coffee or iced tea makers, cutlery, food slicers, food warmers, grills, ovens, ranges, scales, kitchen or food thermometers.
Ice dispensers and ice-making machines.
Cash registers, point-of-sale terminals, POS software, and workstations.
Personal computers, tablets, smartphones, and/or handheld devices.
Credit card processing machines.
RequirementsResponsible, reliable, and communicative.
A current (not expired) Texas Food Handler Certificate is required.
Prior experience in restaurants or food service is required.
Ideal CandidateFriendly, energetic, and customer-focused with a hospitality mindset.
Reliability, strong follow-through and attention to detail.
Comfortable with a fast pace and able to stay organized during peak rushes.
Strong communicator who can take direction and work as part of a tight-knit team. Genuine interest in Southeast Asian food and the Limegreen brand experience.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
