General Manager > Server Job Summary The Shelburne Pub Server will be working to ensure the best possible guest experience dining in our pub. The Server will be in charge of managing food and drink orders, while providing excellent customer service. Must be available to be present during peak times and where needed and must maintain a positive work culture that is fun, focused, and professional. Duties + Responsibilities Arrive on property on time and ready for your shifts. Welcoming guests and ensuring they are seated in a timely fashion. The server is expected to be available during peak periods including but not limited to holidays, and weekends. Reading and listening to guests to determine food and beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking orders. Maintain a clean and organized bar and pub Maintain open communication, both in-person and electronically in SLACK, with team and GM Ensure that sidework is done before clocking out Ensure compliance with liquor laws and Company policy. Adhere to guidelines and ensure that guests are not overserved and that underaged guests are not served alcohol. Back up your team as needed in these interactions and record in a nightly log. Qualifications Responsible and detail-oriented Must have MAST Alcohol permit and Food Handlers Card Good communication skills Must be well organized Able to lift and carry linens/items up to 50lbs Average time spent in operations 95% Average time spent on admin duties 5% (slack use) FLSA (overtime eligibility) Eligible Physically Demanding yes Customer Facing yes Weekend and evening shifts Required Expected hours: 10
