Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hostess/Server to join our team in a fine dining environment. As a Hostess/Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities Provide exceptional culinary/dining experiences with one-of-a-kind personal service Be an excellent communicator both with the guest and the culinary team in the kitchen Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are communicated to the kitchen staff effectively. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets fine dining standards. Provide attentive guest services by checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction. Handle basic math calculations for order totals and process payments accurately. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely food preparation. Must be able to quickly learn the beverage offerings and work closely with the sommelier to smoothly recommend wines and craft cocktails. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including the server station. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while serving food and beverages. Requirements Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting is required. Strong guest service skills with a focus on creating an enjoyable dining experience. Basic math skills for handling transactions and order calculations. Familiarity with POS systems. Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods. Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members. Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift trays or dishes as needed.
