Job Summary The Pool Attendant ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment for all Mountain Lake Lodge guests. This role combines guest service, facility upkeep, and safety awareness. Attendants monitor pool activity, maintain cleanliness, support guests with amenities, and uphold all lodge and pool regulations. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service Greet guests warmly and provide a friendly, attentive presence throughout the pool area. Assist guests with towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, and pool equipment. Answer questions about lodge amenities and ensure guests feel supported and informed. Safety & Supervision Monitor pool activity to ensure guest safety and enforce all pool rules. Identify unsafe behavior or conditions and intervene appropriately. Provide first aid or CPR in emergencies (with proper certification). Pool & Facility Maintenance Maintain a clean and organized pool deck, including furniture, walkways, and surrounding areas. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, checking water clarity, and tidying restrooms or showers. Conduct regular checks of water temperature and chemical balance (training provided if needed). Report maintenance issues promptly to management. Operations & Support Set up and break down pool furniture and equipment daily. Replenish supplies such as towels, floats, and safety equipment. Support lodge recreation staff with seasonal activities as needed. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Ability to swim confidently and remain attentive for extended periods. Strong customer service and communication skills. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Preferred Previous experience as a pool attendant, lifeguard, or hospitality team member. Ability to lift and move pool furniture and equipment. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work Environment & Expectations Outdoor, seasonal role requiring weekend and holiday availability. Active, guest‑facing position with frequent movement and physical tasks.
