Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and service-oriented HR Generalist to provide onsite HR support during a scheduled leave period from June through early September. This role will support day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain workforce continuity and compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and experienced in HR operations including payroll coordination, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance. This position requires excellent communication skills, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Payroll Support Support payroll administration including timecard audits, payroll reviews, PTO audits, commissions, leave-related changes, and wage notices Maintain payroll documentation and assist with payroll processing activities Manage HRIS transactions and employee records within ADP Enterprise Process personnel changes, reporting updates, organizational charts, and HR forms Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinate recruiting and onboarding processes from intake through orientation Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring support Support onboarding activities and pre-employment compliance requirements Partner with hiring managers and staffing agencies to support workforce needs Employee Relations & Compliance Maintain compliant personnel files, I-9 records, DOT documentation, and training records Support employee relations activities including corrective action documentation and investigations Assist with unemployment administration and employee inquiries Promote consistent policy administration and confidentiality standards Reporting & Cross-Functional Support Prepare HR reports, communications, and workforce data requests Partner with IT, Finance, Safety, Operations, and leadership teams to support HR initiatives Support compliance audits and documentation accuracy Assist with additional HR administrative duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent work experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Strong verbal and written communication skills Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel proficiency Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to navigate employee relations and conflict resolution situations professionally
Preferred:
Experience with ADP Enterprise or ADP HCM systems Manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience Multi-site HR support experience Previous payroll or HRIS administration experience
Working Conditions:
Office environment with frequent computer and administrative work Frequent sitting, typing, and hand/wrist movement throughout the shift Occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs Fast-paced environment requiring strong attention to detail and confidentiality
