Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an HR / Payroll Manager and lead the strategic management of human resources and payroll functions across the organization. This pivotal role combines expertise in employment law, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and payroll processing to ensure a compliant, efficient, and employee-centered HR environment. As a key leader, you will drive initiatives that enhance employee relations, streamline HR processes, and support organizational growth through effective talent management and program implementation. Your energetic approach will foster a positive workplace culture where every team member feels valued and empowered. Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end payroll operations using Workday to ensure accurate and timely compensation delivery. Manage employee relations by helping managers to address conflicts, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating employee orientation programs to promote engagement and retention. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, OSHA standards, workers' compensation regulations, and FMLA policies across all HR activities. Conduct interviews; and manage onboarding processes. Design organization structures and succession plans aligned with strategic business goals to support long-term growth. Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize HR workflows, enhance data collection accuracy, and implement best practices utilization for data analysis and reporting. Experience Proven supervisory experience leading HR teams or payroll departments within fast-paced organizations. Extensive knowledge of employment law (including OSHA regulations), workers' compensation procedures, and compliance standards such as FMLA. Strong negotiation skills for vendor management related to benefits providers or HR technology solutions. Experience in talent acquisition strategies using platforms; skilled in interviewing techniques and employee evaluation methods. Ability to analyze data effectively for reporting purposes; excellent presentation skills for communicating HR initiatives to diverse audiences. Familiarity with organizational design principles, performance management frameworks, and strategic planning processes that support business objectives.
