This role serves as a key point of contact for teammates, HR leadership, benefits providers, and insurance carriers while helping ensure programs are administered in compliance with applicable laws and company policies. This role can work in a hybrid arrangement with proximity to our Birmingham, AL or Southfield, MI Home Office locations. Key Responsibilities Administer Mission Pet Health's teammate benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and other company sponsored benefits. Manage teammate enrollments, changes, qualifying life events, and benefit terminations. Serve as the primary point of contact for teammate questions regarding benefits, eligibility, coverage, claims, and deductions. Coordinate with insurance carriers, benefit brokers, third-party administrators, and other vendors to resolve teammate issues. Maintain accurate benefit records and ensure teammate information is current in the HRIS and benefit administration systems. Conduct benefits orientations and support annual open enrollment activities. Prepare and distribute benefits communications, educational materials, and enrollment information to teammates across the organization. Review benefit deductions and payroll-related information for accuracy and help resolve any discrepancies. Monitor eligibility and ensure benefits are administered in accordance with plan documents and company policies. Support required benefits reporting, audits, and compliance activities, including applicable federal and state requirements. Maintain confidentiality of teammate benefits and personal information. Research benefits-related questions and recommend solutions to teammates and HR leadership. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration, human resources, payroll, or a related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally Strong problem-solving and customer service skills Experience supporting multi‑state benefit and leave programs preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Work hybrid arrangement in either Birmingham, Alabama or Southfield, Michigan WAG Values Leads with respect, integrity, and accountability Treats others with empathy and respect Exemplifies and role models behavior aligned with WAG values Collaborates with the team to focus on solutions Finds a way to say yes How You're Supported As part of the Mission Pet Health family, you get the stability of a local practice backed by the comprehensive benefits and resources of a larger network.
