Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing routine maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep for Aletheia House residential and outpatient program locations. This position helps ensure that agency buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, and functional condition. Responsibilities include conducting monthly facility inspections, responding to maintenance and repair needs in a timely and professional manner, and performing a variety of residential and commercial maintenance tasks. Work may include, but is not limited to, painting, flooring, carpentry, drywall repair, minor construction, general building repairs, grounds maintenance, and equipment upkeep. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining facilities, and understands the importance of providing a safe and welcoming environment for both program participants and employees. The Maintenance Technician is expected to follow established safety procedures and OSHA requirements while completing all assigned work. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in general building maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred. Hands-on experience in one or more areas such as carpentry, flooring installation and repair, painting, drywall/sheetrock repair and finishing, minor building repairs, grounds maintenance, or equipment maintenance is a plus. Ability to safely use and maintain common hand and power tools. Ability to identify maintenance needs and complete assigned repairs in a timely and professional manner. Must be dependable, able to work independently, and manage multiple maintenance requests and priorities
