Hallcon provides essential services spanning multi-modal operations, integrated command centers, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, technology integration, analytics, business intelligence, fleet management, specialty cleaning, and overall rider experience performance. We are inviting the right leader to join our team and help us drive rapid growth. The Role The Worker's Compensation and Return to Work Specialist will provide claim oversight and handling for the Risk Management department. This role is responsible for actively engaging with our third-party administrators to provide claim oversight, submission of claims, engaging with defense counsel, extensive oversight of our return-to-work program, engaging with clients and vendors, and efficiently driving claims to closure. Key Responsibilities Communicate and report losses to third party administrator. Provide oversight and guidance to third party administrator. Actively review claims each month to ensure proper handling & reserving. Effectively engage in return-to-work processes, including restricted and transitional duty. Engage with Hallcon employees regarding their work-related injuries, medical treatment, and lost time. Follow up with medical providers regarding employee injuries, and provide proper documentation and claims information to assist in evaluating restrictions. Accurately report lost time in RIMS system. Communicate with TPA regarding return-to-work and transitional duty. Deliver client-specific reports. Actively identify claims with subrogation potential. Work with operations managers and supervisors to secure appropriate claim documentation. Gather internal information/documentation to assist third party administrators in claims investigation. Interact with counsel and provide direction on claims. Attend claims meetings and claim reviews as required. Assist with claims audits. Review accident reports and document dash-cam video information in the claim files. Gather, review, and analyze claims data to improve efficiency, claims handling, and reserving. Other job duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree 3 years of workers' compensation claims experience,and through understanding of return-to-work programs. Working knowledge of claims handling and work-related injuries. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of claims handling software. Experience with the Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, policy and procedure manuals, legal documents, and government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and other employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and apply them to the situation.
