Benefits Specialist - Temporary | Potential Permanent ? Springfield MA Area | On-Site ? Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM ? $35-$40/hour | $70K-$75K if hired permanently ? 3-month temporary assignment with long-term potential A well-established academic institution is seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to join their HR team. The immediate priority is leave of absence and employee accommodation management, so strong hands-on experience in these areas is essential.
What You'll Do:
Manage employee accommodations and communication Manage multi-state leaves of absence, including documentation, notices, tracking, and PTO/pay integration Conduct new hire benefits orientations Handle benefits invoice reconciliation and wellness programs Manage tuition assistance and retirement plan programs Support retirement plan audits and compliance reporting Pull HRIS data and reports for compliance and benefits administration
What We're Looking For:
At least 3 years of benefits experience Strong multi-state leave management experience Knowledge of leave, PTO, and payroll integration Experience managing employee accommodations and interactive dialogues HRIS experience with reporting and data management Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail Bachelor's degree required for permanent employment If leave management and employee accommodations are your specialty, we'd love to hear from you!
