Job Description

Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing game development studio seeking a commercially driven Business Development Specialist to help expand its global footprint within the gaming industry. This role will play a key part in driving new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and supporting the successful launch and distribution of gaming titles across international markets. The successful candidate will combine a passion for gaming with strong commercial acumen, acting as the bridge between clients, internal production teams, and industry stakeholders to maximize business growth and market impact. Key Responsibilities Drive Successful Game Launches Support the successful release of gaming titles by securing optimal market positioning, distribution opportunities, and commercial visibility. Work closely with internal teams to ensure launch plans align with each game's objectives, target audience, and unique selling propositions (USPs). Monitor launch performance and identify opportunities to maximize long-term commercial success. Commercial Strategy & Market Development Analyze studio performance, market trends, competitor activity, and content gaps to identify new growth opportunities. Develop and execute commercial strategies that support revenue growth and strengthen market presence. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on performance data and industry developments. Business Development & Sales Manage and progress opportunities across both inbound and outbound sales channels. Qualify leads against ideal client profiles (ICPs) and uncover customer needs through effective discovery and relationship-building. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are accurately tracked and managed through the CRM. Support contract negotiations and commercial discussions through to successful closure. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Delivery, Art, Engineering, and Production teams throughout the pre-sales process. Coordinate internal resources to create compelling client proposals, presentations, and commercial solutions. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned and fully prepared to deliver successful client engagements. Relationship Management & Brand Representation Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Act as a key commercial ambassador for the studio, representing its culture, capabilities, and expertise. Regularly engage with prospective and existing customers to strengthen the studio's network and business opportunities. Industry Engagement Attend industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to promote the studio and generate new business opportunities. Stay informed on gaming industry developments, emerging trends, and market opportunities. Reporting & Performance Tracking Monitor and report on key business development KPIs and sales metrics. Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure pipeline visibility for internal stakeholders. Provide regular updates, forecasts, and performance reports to management teams. Requirements Experience Previous experience in a Business Development, Sales, Account Management, or Commercial role is preferred. Experience within the gaming, technology, digital entertainment, or creative services industry would be highly advantageous. Demonstrated success managing both inbound and outbound sales activities. Communication & Relationship Building Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships. Strong commercial mindset with a consultative approach to sales and partnership development. Languages Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additional language capabilities would be considered a plus. Technical Skills Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales management tools. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, and Slides. Mobility & Training Willingness to undertake a 6-month training program in Taiwan. Flexibility to travel internationally for conferences, client meetings, and industry events as required.
