Purpose of Position Support the administration of wellness programs for employees, spouses, dependents, and retirees across UT System institutions covered under the group health plans. Programs include wellness platform, condition management, and health and well-being support. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills to support plan operations, contribute to strategic plan design, and assist UT institution wellness programs in alignment with institutional strategies. Responsibilities include developing content that supports work/life integration and healthy lifestyles, acting as a liaison between UT System, its institutions, vendors, and plan members, and assisting in the development and review of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as needed. Essential Functions Develop and implement system-wide services to accomplish program goals and collaborate with institutions to assist in reaching common goals. Measure performance system-wide against stated goals. Develop and implement communication strategies to increase health plan awareness among member populations, including the development of engaging education materials, review and recommend prepared publications, and manage wellness website. Provide support for institution wellness programs and ensure program alignment. Support the development and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), incorporating plan analysis and pertinent legislation, industry benchmarks, and participant input. Participate in system-wide wellness activities, including health and wellness fairs as requested. Assist with the preparation and facilitation of the System-wide UT Living Well Committee, including acting as a liaison between institutions and contracted vendors. Create program measurement tools, evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs, evaluate results, review plan trends associated with wellness, evaluate marketplace and continuously assess success of program. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Prior experience implementing employee well-being programs, with strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA). Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience handling sensitive topics and interpreting administrative policies. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to motivate teams and communicate sensitive data to stakeholders. Experience handling sensitive personal health information with discretion and confidentiality. Excellent MS Office Suite Skills required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Human Resources, Data Analytics, or a related field. Three years of experience with organization-level wellness plan creation or implementation, including wellness activities, education, and promotion. Preferred Qualifications Health and well-being-related certification(s) desirable. Working Conditions May work around standard office conditions Requires occasional evening or weekend hours Additional Information The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to a minimum of 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. Participation in TRS is mandatory. A background check will be conducted on candidates under final consideration.
