Description We are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join a leading organization in the Energy industry in Dallas, Texas. This Long-term Contract position will focus on strengthening compensation programs through market analysis, pay administration, and close collaboration with HR and business leaders. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound judgment, and the confidence to support compensation decisions with data-driven insight.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate salary structures, merit increases, and incentive plans to support fair and competitive pay practices across the organization.
- Conduct benchmarking studies and market pricing reviews to compare roles against external data and recommend appropriate compensation actions.
- Partner with HR and leadership teams to provide guidance on pay decisions, job leveling, and compensation-related business questions.
- Participate in compensation surveys, interpret findings, and translate market trends into practical recommendations for leadership.
- Review and assess employee salary changes to ensure alignment with internal guidelines, budget considerations, and external competitiveness.
- Maintain compensation information within HR systems, monitor data quality, and support accurate reporting.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations that summarize compensation metrics, trends, and program outcomes for stakeholders.
- Support job evaluation activities and keep role documentation current to align with compensation frameworks and compliance expectations.
- Contribute to employee communication materials and help improve compensation processes for greater clarity and efficiency. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in compensation analysis, compensation program administration, or total rewards.
- Demonstrated expertise in salary surveys, market pricing, benchmarking, and incentive compensation practices.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, build models, and produce meaningful reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain compensation concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Experience supporting benefits-related functions, coordination, or analysis is a plus.
- Certified Compensation (CCP) credential is preferred.
