Run the Show. Keep Austin Moving We're looking for a hands-on leader to own day-to-day operations of our commercial front-load business. We don't run residential or roll-off, just commercial front-load, done right. This isn't a desk job where you manage by spreadsheet. With a tight fleet of under 10 trucks, you'll know every driver by name, every route by heart, and every customer by their pickup window. You'll have real authority, a direct line to leadership, and pay that beats most fleets twice our size. What You'll Do Lead daily front-load operations: routing, dispatch, driver assignments, and service quality across our commercial routes Build and optimize routes in NavuSoft to cut drive time, fuel cost, and missed pickups Hire, train, coach, and hold drivers accountable, and create a crew people want to stay on Champion safety: run pre-trip compliance, DOT and FMCSA recordkeeping, accident reviews, and safety meetings Coordinate with the shop on preventive maintenance so trucks stay on the road and out of the bay Manage container placement, swaps, and service changes for commercial accounts Resolve customer service issues fast and professionally, and keep our commercial accounts loyal Track KPIs (bins per hour, on-time service, safety incidents) and report results to leadership Jump in when needed. If a route's short, you can cover it. What You Bring Operations management experience is required, in waste, transportation, logistics, or a similar field CDL Class A or B is required. You understand the work because you've done it. Commercial front-load or solid waste experience is a big plus, but not required NavuSoft experience preferred; experience with similar routing platforms considered Working knowledge of
