Human Resources Coordinator Position Summary The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting and managing a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, compliance, performance management, and employee records. This position serves as a resource for employees and managers while helping ensure HR policies and employment practices are applied consistently and in accordance with applicable laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day human resources operations and provide guidance to employees and managers.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, selection, and hiring processes.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, paperwork, and employee training.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records.
- Support payroll processing and research and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions.
- Assist employees with benefit-related issues and communicate benefit information.
- Address employee relations concerns and assist with investigations and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance to managers regarding company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Track employee attendance, leave, and other employment-related information.
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, documentation, and personnel-related records.
- Coordinate employee leaves of absence and return-to-work processes.
- Assist with workplace safety programs, workers' compensation claims, and incident documentation.
- Support employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews and assist with employee separation procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned. Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in human resources or a related administrative role.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll software.
- Ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
