Hiring Agency Finance & Administration Cabinet | Office of the Secretary Location 200 Mero Street Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description This position is located within the Human Resource Division within the Finance & Administration Cabinet (FAC) - Office of the Secretary. The Finance and Administration Cabinet is seeking to hire an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team as a Human Resource Administrator. We are seeking to fill a vacancy in our Processing and Recruitment Branch. If you are passionate about assisting others, have a great work ethic, are able to multi-task, and are looking for a position where your contributions are valued, then this may be the job for you! Team members in the HR Processing and Recruitment Branch are professionals whose focus is working efficiently and effectively together to ensure delivery of HR services. We communicate respectfully with employees, supervisors, managers, and directors as we establish positions within KHRIS, create and manage job vacancies within the MyPurpose recruitment site, process employee personnel actions, provide professional payroll services, and maintain personnel files. As the HR Administrator, some of your duties will include: Establish/Update positions in KHRIS (KY Human Resource Information System) Review and make recommendations for personnel actions utilizing regulations and statutes Manage and maintain employee records in KHRIS Process payroll for assigned agencies Assist with timekeeping and error reports for assigned agencies Effectively communicate with managers or directors regarding hiring, reclassification, promotions, etc. Maintain in-house logs and established documentation that allows each member of the HR team to effectively deliver customer service and processing actions. EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Three years of professional experience in Kentucky state government merit system human resource administration or Kentucky governmental employee benefits administration. Substitute

Administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must provide documentation of successful completion of the Personnel Cabinet's Human Resources (HR) Academy to the agency's appointing authority within 12 months of employment in a position assigned this job classification. Working Conditions Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in
KRS 18A.111.
