Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to provide temporary support to an Employee Relations team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in Employee Relations, with strong expertise in workplace investigations, employment law, case management, and employee issue resolution. The Employee Relations Specialist will provide guidance and consultation to managers and HR partners, conduct employee investigations, assist with performance and corrective action matters, and help ensure company policies and employment laws are applied consistently and appropriately. Key Responsibilities Provide advice and consultation to managers and HR partners on employee relations matters. Conduct investigations involving employee concerns, workplace issues, policy violations, and other employee relations cases. Lead investigations involving moderate-complexity and higher-risk employee concerns. Gather relevant facts, interview employees and witnesses, review documentation, and provide appropriate recommendations. Handle sensitive, confidential, and emotionally challenging employee situations in a professional and objective manner. Advise managers on performance management, corrective actions, disciplinary matters, and terminations. Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and employment practices consistently and fairly. Provide guidance regarding applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations. Identify potential risks and escalate complex issues when appropriate. Partner with HR Business Partners and other cross-functional teams to resolve employee concerns. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of Employee Relations cases. Manage and prioritize multiple active cases while meeting established timelines. Support managers with appropriate documentation and communication related to employee actions. Provide guidance regarding employee accommodations and related workplace matters. Support labor relations matters and interpretation of applicable union contract provisions when required. Perform other Employee Relations responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent HR experience. 3-5+ years of Employee Relations experience or experience in a closely related HR function. Demonstrated experience conducting workplace and employee investigations. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Experience with Employee Relations case management systems. Experience handling corrective actions, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong active listening, questioning, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to handle difficult, sensitive, or emotionally charged situations objectively. Strong judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Retail or Manufacturing organizations. Experience supporting large hourly workforces. Knowledge of employee accommodations and related workplace requirements. Experience with labor/union relations. PHR or SPHR certification. Bilingual in Spanish and/or French. Experience working with Asset Protection or other cross-functional HR teams. #4002
