  • Hybrid position that requires working in-office two days a week on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Irving, TX site. Must be able to adhere to an assigned work schedule and work a variety of shifts to support business needs across multiple time zones.

  • PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a
  • Human Resources Assistant 3 (Pre-Employment Investigations Associate)
  • to support our onboarding and pre-employment investigation processes.
This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless, customer-focused experience for new hires while coordinating with recruiters, hiring managers, security teams, and external vendors throughout the pre-employment process. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, computer literacy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the pre-employment investigation process.
+ Engage with pre-hires to provide status updates, gather required information, and facilitate onboarding activities. + Coordinate with Recruiting, Security, and other internal stakeholders to ensure candidates are cleared to start in compliance with company policies and government regulations. + Initiate and track pre-employment investigations, including background checks and drug screenings. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the onboarding and screening process. + Administer tasks within Workday, ServiceNow, and other onboarding systems while maintaining accurate documentation. + Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, and text. + Maintain detailed records and documentation using Microsoft Office and company systems. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and the candidate experience.
  • Required Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience.
+ Previous Human Resources experience, particularly in pre-employment investigations, onboarding, or related HR functions. + Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities. + Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and other business applications. + Computer literacy and comfort learning new technologies. + Reliable broadband internet access for remote work. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong reading comprehension, listening, and organizational skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Experience in onboarding, staffing, recruiting, and pre-employment investigations. + Previous experience in an HR Service Center environment. + Demonstrated excellence in time management and organization. + Professional phone presence and exceptional customer support skills. + Experience using: + Workday + ServiceNow + Amazon Connect
