40 hours/week Position Overview The Human Resources Assistant 3 will support the Pre-Employment Investigations (PEI) process and help provide a seamless, customer-focused onboarding experience for new hires. The role will work closely with pre-hires, recruiters, hiring managers, Security, and external vendors to facilitate background checks, drug screenings, and other pre-employment requirements. Key Responsibilities Engage with pre-hires throughout the pre-employment investigation process. Provide status updates and collect additional information as needed. Partner with Recruiting, Security, and internal teams to support timely candidate clearance and onboarding. Initiate and track background checks and drug screenings . Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the pre-employment process. Perform tasks within Workday and ServiceNow , ensuring accurate and complete documentation. Respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders via phone, email, and text. Maintain accurate records using organizational systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 . Monitor and document the status of pre-employment investigations. Provide excellent customer service to candidates and stakeholders. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to HR processes and systems. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Follow assigned schedules and support business needs across multiple time zones. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience , OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of related experience . Previous Human Resources experience, particularly with Pre-Employment Investigations (PEI) . Strong customer service, problem-solving, and technology skills. Computer literacy and familiarity with current technology. Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams . Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective listening, reading, and comprehension abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Broadband internet access at home and experience using web-based tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience with HR onboarding, staffing, recruiting, and pre-employment investigations . Experience working in an HR Service Center environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent telephone presence and customer service skills. Experience with Workday .
