Job Description

Deer Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation is looking for an energetic, charismatic and dynamic individual to head up their Human Resources department and help with fun events and staff culture. LTC Experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to take over all aspects of the Human Resources department with minimal oversight and be able to work with a multi-faceted team and a diverse workforce. The primary purpose of the Staffing Coordinator position is to schedule nursing staffing to meet the needs of the patients and facility, communicate the staffing schedule to staff on a timely basis, and fill any vacant shifts through coordination with staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in our established policies and procedures. Assures that all staff complete required compliance training and processes Conducts pre-employment and background screening Coordinate facility employee recruitment and on-boarding process Coordinates Leave of Absence requests and processing Ensures new hire paperwork is completed including the I-9 form, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Ensures that new employees are properly oriented and trained. Provides written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator concerning Human Resource matters within the facility. Ensures that department employment actions are administered fairly and in compliance with the facility's Policy Against Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation. Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information and records, both current and archived. Maintain and update human resource records, forms, and policies per federal and state regulations Maintain HRIS data entry of all personnel changes and reports. Ensure all licenses, certificates and other credentials, as well as TB screens are kept up-to-date. Assist employees in obtaining information concerning their payroll check, deductions, overtime, etc., as necessary. Coordinates the employee performance review process.
