Summary We are currently seeking a dual-role position combining strategic and hands-on leadership in Human Resources and Safety Manager to join our team at Allied Fire Protection, Inc. This role is pivotal in fostering a productive work environment by managing HR functions such as recruitment, employee training, while also managing safety programs in accordance with OSHA and MSHA safety standards. The position is based in the United States and plays a crucial role in supporting our mission of providing excellent fire protection services.
Responsibilities Human Resources:
Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes. Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions. Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with labor laws. Support management with performance reviews and employee development initiatives. Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Collaborate with management to address employee concerns and foster a positive workplace culture.
Safety:
Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety programs and training. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations. Coordinate and lead safety training, including MSHA Part 46/48 and site-specific protocols. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations. Promote a culture of safety through education and proactive measures. Maintain safety records and report metrics to leadership. Requirements Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role in a related industry. 3-5+ years of experience in a combined HR and/or safety role. Strong knowledge of labor laws, OSHA regulations, MSHA regulations and workers' compensation practices. Experience in training development and employee orientation processes and skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.. HR or Safety certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CSP, OSHA 30, MSHA BlueCard). Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
