Full Job Description Job Description:
As the sole HR Manager in a manufacturing aerospace company, the HR Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing all HR functions. This role manages everything from employee relations, compliance, hiring, on boarding, benefits, and workplace culture. The HR Manager ensures legal compliance, protects employees' rights, and supports leadership with informed recommendations while fostering a fair, safe, and accountable workplace.
Job Duties Include:
  • Draft, revise, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and conflict resolution
  • Advise leadership on workforce planning and employee relations strategy.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and conflicts with discretion and legal precision
  • Document incidents, timelines, and protocol deviations to support internal accountability and external legal review
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEOC, CA Labor Code)
  • Maintain accurate records of employee files, investigations, and disciplinary actions
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and HR partners (TriNet) to manage complex cases and protect company interests
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for temp and permanent roles, including job postings, interviews, and offers
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires
  • Administer payroll, benefit enrollment, WC claims, and leave management in coordination with TriNet.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment
  • Respond to manufacturing HR needs, including safety protocols, labor relations, and training
  • Prepare reports for audits, leadership reviews, and legal proceedings.
  • Coordinate quarterly safety meetings
  • Plan and coordinate monthly employee celebrations, holiday events, and companywide initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Deep knowledge of California labor laws
  • Ability to navigate emotionally complex situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Documentation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience managing HR independently
  • Must be able to sit in sedentary position, climb stairs and lift up to 25lbs
Pay:
$68,466.98 - $80,000.00 per year
