What are we looking for? W e are looking for a Human Resou r ces Manager ( HR M) t o join our human r esou r ces team. A s the HRM , y ou w ill lead and d ir ec t the r ou ti ne functions of the HR department for y ou r assigned loca ti on. To uphold the mission and vision of SJCS , it w ill be y ou r r esponsibil ity to p r o v ide HR guidance t o y ou r assigned State Di r ec tor(s) t o meet the sta t e's r e g ulat ory needs. Y o u w ill wor k alon g side and r ep ort di r ec tly t o the Director of Human Resources. Your overall responsibilities will be the following: + Ove r sees the daily wor kflo w of the department. + Handles discipline and t e r mina ti on of emplo y ees per compan y polic y . + P rovide s su pport and guidance to HR gener alists, management, and other staff when c omp l ex , s pe c i aliz ed , and sens itive que s tion s and i ss ue s arise; may be required to ad min ist er and exe c ute routine t as k s in de lic ate c ir c u mstanc e s, s u c h a s providing re as on abl e acc ommod a tion , in v es ti ga ti n g allega ti ons of wr ongdoin g , and t e r mina ti ons. + Ove r sees emplo y ee disciplinary mee ti n g s, t e r mina ti ons, and in v es ti ga ti ons. + Maintains compliance with f ede r al, sta t e, and local employment laws and r e g ula ti ons; r ecommends bes t p r ac ti ces; r e v ie w s policies and p r ac ti ces t o maintain compliance. + Maintains knowledge of tr ends, bes t p r ac ti ces, r e g ulat ory changes, and new t echnologies in human r esou r ces, talent management, and employment law. + Rec r u it , i n t e rv ie w , h ir e, and tr ain new s taff as needed for the dep art men t and the agenc y when a r ec r u it e r is unavailable, e. g ., on v aca ti on, sick, or v acant r ole, e t c. + P erfor ms other dutie s as ass igned . Extra credit wi ll be g iven if y ou ha v e the following experience , education, and requirements : + A bachel or 's de gr ee in human r esou r ces, business administra ti on, or a r ela t ed field is r equ ir ed. + A minimum of four y ears of human r esou r ce management e x pe r ience wi ll be conside r ed in place of a de gr ee. + SHRM -CP or
SHRM - SCP
is highly des ir ed.

Physical and Environmental Conditions Include:
+ P r olonged pe r iods of sitting a t a desk and working on a compu t e r . + M us t be able t o lift 15 pounds a t ti mes. + M us t access and navigate each department a t the o r ganiza ti on's f acil it ies. + Tr avel up t o 50%. The hiring range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience.
