Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for an Agriculture HR professional to lead our teams through a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Being familiar with Ag, you will know that rules and regulations can change quickly with little to no warning, so being able to keep up is a must. Duties
  • Update, develop and implement employee safety programs and policies
  • Update policies to follow federal, state and local regulations.
  • Lead the HR assistant through employee orientation programs to onboard new hires smoothly and efficiently.
  • Oversee benefits administration, ensuring compliance with employment law such as FMLA, PFMLA, and workers' compensation regulations while communicating benefit options clearly to employees.
  • Facilitate L&I consultations and claims. And, any accidents that occur on the job. Work with DOL, and DOH to satisfy compliance.
  • Handle H2A rules and compliance (housing, employment, etc..). Work with WAFLA for arrivals and departures. Coordinate with supervisors and owners to identify their H2A needs.
  • Knowledge of hiring forms (I-9, W-4…) and new rules on inspections of I-9's and the importance of recognizing forged or illegal documentation.
  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism, employing conflict management techniques to resolve disputes effectively while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ensure HR legal compliance by staying current on employment & labor law updates and implementing policies aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting to inform decision-making skills.
  • Extensive experience in human resources management, and workforce management strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor regulations, and regulatory compliance management.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective employee relations, training & development sessions, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to lead organizational design efforts and succession planning initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager.
  • Handle confidential information securely.
  • Demonstrated conflict management skills combined with a proactive approach to employee engagement and performance improvement.

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
