Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Bilingual HR Generalist with a strong background in workers' compensation, benefits administration, and employee support. This is a fully onsite position in South Gate, CA, supporting a workforce that includes a large population of Spanish-speaking employees.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable serving as a hands-on HR resource for employees while independently managing workers' compensation claims, benefits administration, HR documentation, and day-to-day employee questions. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish and have hands-on Paycom experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorkers' CompensationManage and coordinate workers' compensation claims from initial injury reporting through claim resolutionPrepare and maintain injury reports, claim documentation, and related HR recordsCommunicate with employees, supervisors, insurance carriers, claims administrators, and medical providersMonitor open claims and follow up regarding claim status, work restrictions, return-to-work dates, and required documentationCoordinate modified-duty assignments and return-to-work processesMaintain accurate and confidential workers' compensation files and ensure timely reportingAssist with OSHA-related injury documentation, recordkeeping, and workplace safety reporting as applicableTrack outstanding documentation and ensure appropriate follow-up on active claimsBenefits AdministrationSupport the day-to-day administration of employee health and welfare benefitsAssist employees with questions regarding medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and other benefit programsProcess new enrollments, benefit changes, qualifying life events, and terminationsSupport annual open enrollment activities and employee communicationsWork with benefit carriers and vendors to resolve enrollment, eligibility, and coverage issuesMaintain accurate employee benefits information and records within PaycomEducate employees regarding benefit options, eligibility requirements, and enrollment proceduresSupport COBRA and leave-related benefits coordination as applicableGeneral HR SupportServe as an accessible HR resource for employees, including a predominantly Spanish-speaking workforceCommunicate HR policies, procedures, benefits information, and workplace injury processes in both English and SpanishAssist with onboarding, new-hire paperwork, employee records, and HR documentationMaintain confidential personnel files and ensure HR records are complete and accurateRespond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, workplace injuries, and HR proceduresSupport employee relations matters and communication between employees, management, and Human ResourcesPerform HRIS updates, data entry, reporting, and employee record maintenance within PaycomAssist with additional HR projects and administrative responsibilities as needed
