Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support core HR operations for a service-focused organization in Newton, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in employee support, day-to-day HR administration, and the delivery of a smooth onboarding and benefits experience. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background in employee relations, process coordination, and HR systems while maintaining a detail-oriented and service-oriented approach.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace matters, policies, and general employee relations concerns.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring required documentation, orientation steps, and employment records are completed accurately and on time.
  • Administer routine human resources processes, including maintaining personnel files, updating employee data, and supporting compliance-related documentation.
  • Assist with benefits-related activities by responding to employee questions, supporting enrollments, and helping resolve routine coverage or eligibility issues.
  • Maintain and update information within the HRIS to support accurate reporting, employee recordkeeping, and HR workflow efficiency.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support consistent HR practices and deliver responsive service across the employee lifecycle.
  • Prepare HR documents, correspondence, and status updates while ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail in all interactions.
  • Help identify and address employee concerns in a timely manner, escalating complex issues appropriately and contributing to a positive workplace environment.
