Job Description
A growing, employee-owned organization supporting the AEC and construction industry is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join its Charlotte, NC team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of HR, recruiting, talent acquisition, or onboarding experience , preferably within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or a related industry. Approximately 50% of the position will focus on recruiting , with the remainder supporting onboarding, employee relations, compliance, training, and HR programs. This position requires monthly travel to Raleigh, NC , with occasional travel to other locations. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruiting for key positions. Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. Develop job descriptions and sourcing strategies. Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, career fairs, and other channels. Coordinate interviews, candidate feedback, offers, and negotiations. Serve as a point of contact for candidates and employees. Support new hire onboarding. Assist with HR policies, procedures, and compliance. Support employee relations, performance discussions, documentation, and investigations. Conduct stay and exit interviews. Assist with HR training programs. Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations. Help improve HR policies, programs, and processes. Qualifications 4+ years of HR, recruiting, talent acquisition, or related experience. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Knowledge of North Carolina employment law required. Construction, engineering, or manufacturing experience preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. ATS and HRIS experience preferred. LinkedIn Recruiter experience is a plus. Union experience is a plus. Ability to travel monthly to Raleigh, NC.
