Job Description
This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future. Do you want to shape HR strategies and support leaders in a fast-paced environment? As a Senior Human Resources Generalist at Spectrum, you'll administer policies and programs that balance employee advocacy and business needs. Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and provide comprehensive HR support across recruitment, retention, performance coaching, problem-solving and leadership development. You'll work with leaders to improve decisions and organizational effectiveness. How You'll Make an Impact Provide guidance to managers and employees on human resources issues and employment law Develop programs and initiatives to meet your team's needs Coordinate solutions with senior HR teammates and implement plans to address long-term human resource needs and trends Perform advanced employee relations functions including counseling, dispute resolution, managing performance issues, reviewing termination requests and conducting exit interviews Conduct complex and sensitive employee investigations, manage workers compensation reporting and safety regulation processes Coordinate administration of leave of absence programs, transitional work and accommodations, conduct benefits open enrollment and employee and supervisor trainings Ensure timely and accurate HRIS and payroll entries, perform audit and compliance functions and maintain employee records Demonstrated project management skills, business acumen, and analytical skills Working Conditions Office environment Some travel as required What You'll Bring to Spectrum Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, related field or equivalent Experience 5+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience Skills Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with all levels of employees and the public Maintain confidentiality of information Make decisions and solve problems under pressure Demonstrated PC skills and Microsoft Office skills Prioritize and organize work effectively and work independently Exercise judgment and initiative to complete duties in a timely manner Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures including state and federal wage and hour laws Knowledge of recruitment trends and technologies and of staffing and employment practices Demonstrated knowledge of employee relations procedures and applicable law and demonstrated consultative and coaching skills Demonstrated analytical skills, business acumen and project management skills Preferred Qualifications Education Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR) preferred Skills Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record within company standards Knowledge of Spectrum / telecommunications products and services #
