Job Description

Overview The Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding qualified talent for Staffing by Starboard's clients. This role manages the full-cycle recruitment process for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire positions, with a primary focus on high-volume light industrial staffing. The Recruiter serves as the primary point of contact for applicants, ensuring an efficient, professional, and inclusive hiring experience from initial application through onboarding. Role and Responsibilities Source qualified candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, community outreach, and recruiting events. Screen and interview applicants to assess qualifications, work history, availability, and client fit. Match candidates with appropriate job opportunities based on client requirements, experience, and skill set. Coordinate interviews with clients and communicate scheduling details to applicants. Guide candidates through the digital onboarding process, including completion of employment paperwork and required pre-employment documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future staffing needs. Develop relationships with candidates to improve engagement, retention, and redeployment opportunities. Collaborate with hiring managers and account representatives to understand staffing priorities and hiring timelines. Provide regular recruiting updates regarding applicant flow, open positions, and hiring progress. Respond promptly to candidate inquiries while providing exceptional customer service. Participate in recruiting events, job fairs, networking opportunities, and community outreach initiatives. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company hiring policies. Maintain confidentiality of employee and applicant information. Assist with additional recruiting, administrative, and staffing projects as assigned. Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of recruiting experience. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based recruiting platforms. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Experience in staffing, talent acquisition, or high-volume recruiting. Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, or digital onboarding software. Previous experience recruiting for warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or light industrial positions preferred. Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Skills Ability to communicate professionally with candidates, clients, and internal staff. Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills. Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to prioritize workload and meet recruiting deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-up skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing staffing priorities. Knowledge of employment laws, equal employment opportunity practices, and ethical recruiting standards.
Pay:
$55,000.00 per year
