Job Description
We are looking for a part-time Recruiter to support hiring efforts for a broad range of specialized and operational roles in Glen Allen, Virginia. This is a Long-term Contract position with potential to go permanent. It offers the opportunity to drive candidate outreach, coordinate hiring activities, and strengthen talent pipelines across multiple channels. The ideal candidate brings a proactive approach to sourcing, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage recruiting activity with accuracy and consistency. This is an on site position that will start at approximately 20/25 hours weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment efforts for both specialized and operational openings across the organization, managing multiple searches at different stages.
- Use the applicant tracking system to post positions, monitor candidate progress, and maintain organized hiring workflows.
- Identify and attract talent through LinkedIn, Handshake, online job boards, referrals, networking, and other innovative sourcing strategies.
- Arrange interviews and serve as a key point of contact to ensure clear, timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate recruiting records, keeping candidate details and activity updates current throughout the hiring process.
- Develop and strengthen partnerships with colleges and universities to support and expand campus recruiting initiatives.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and other talent outreach activities to build strong candidate pipelines.
- Analyze recruiting activity and share recommendations that help improve efficiency, candidate experience, and overall hiring outcomes.
- Support onboarding efforts by participating in new employee orientation and updating recruiting and orientation materials as needed.
- Contribute to broader talent acquisition and HR-related projects, including work involving recruiting platforms such as ADP Workforce Now when applicable.
