Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organized Recruiter to support hourly hiring needs within a manufacturing environment. This is a temporary position expected to last up to 6 months, with the possibility that a strong performer may be asked to stay on longer based on business needs.
The Recruiter will work closely with Human Resources and Operations leadership to coordinate the recruiting process from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing multiple openings, communicating with candidates and hiring managers, and keeping the hiring process moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate hourly recruiting needs with hiring managers and Operations leadership
Partner with management to understand open positions and define candidate qualifications
Create and post job advertisements through appropriate recruiting channels
Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings
Coordinate phone and in-person interviews, including scheduling and interview logistics
Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process and provide timely status updates
Work directly with staffing and recruiting agencies to support hiring needs
Coordinate required skills testing and other pre-employment steps
Assist HR with background checks and new-hire administrative tasks
Build relationships with community organizations and participate in job fairs as needed
Maintain regular communication with hiring managers regarding recruiting activity and candidate status
Ensure recruiting and selection practices follow applicable employment laws, company policies, and ethical hiring standards
Assist the HR Manager with recruiting-related projects and other HR support as needed
Qualifications
1-3 years of recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, or related HR experience required
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Experience screening candidates and coordinating interviews
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple openings and priorities
Comfortable working directly with hiring managers, staffing agencies, and external recruiting partners
Proficiency with online recruiting platforms and general computer systems
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling candidate and employee information
Willingness to occasionally attend local recruiting events or job fairs
