Schedules are flexible but must be available Mondays and Thursdays 8am to 11am and Wednesdays 11:30 am to 2:30pm. Other shifts include afternoons after 4pm. Afternoon shift position must be bilingual and speak Spanish proficiently. Staff is responsible for teaching the clients in their homes basic household organization, creating a chore schedule, how to cook very simple and basic meals, how to do laundry and put it away, help with mail and paperwork, etc... Out in the community you can teach them comparison grocery shopping, run errands, attend medical appointments if necessary, go for walks, exercise if needed, go to the mall, occasionally going to the movies. Applicant must be patient, compassionate and love helping others. Experience preferred but would train the right person. Applicant must own a computer, printer/scanner and be proficient using them efficiently as all paperwork in done electronically. Must be ok with driving within the community. This job
DOES NOT
involve any caregiver duties such as feeding, bathing, dressing, etc., it involves teaching and training the clients to become independent. Please read job requirements carefully meet the below
Job Requirements:
  • 25 years of age or older
  • College preferred.
  • Must live within a 15 mile radius from Los Angeles CA
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Must have strong writing and organizational and time management skills
  • Must own a computer, own a printer, scanner, have internet access and know how to scan and email documents. Must be competent in filling out, printing, scanning and emailing paperwork twice per month.
  • Must be professional and responsible, no flakes!
  • Must be available to accommodate client schedule
  • Must own your own vehicle, be named on vehicle registration, must have current auto insurance and willing to drive with mileage reimbursement. Must be willing to drive clients.
  • Must have valid California drivers license
  • Must be have valid work permit and legal US residency
  • Pass criminal background check.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
