is seeking individuals with backgrounds in the social services and mental health fields who have the hearts necessary to work with people who have intellectual disabilities by using case management knowledge and other skills.PASSPORT TO LEARNING, INC.
(PTL) is dedicated to serving a community of individuals with mental health intellectual disabilities who need assistance in adapting to meet age-specific developmental milestones. PTL's program is an age-appropriate functional skill training for individuals with Autism, MMR, Down Syndrome, and other intellectual disabilities. The focus of the practice is to utilize social services skills such as case management and other skills and training to increase a person's daily living abilities in their homes or place of residence and in the community, to pursue academic goals, or to explore employment options. Candidates must be able to drive to meet with clients at their homes and provide mental health and social services support with attending court-mandated appointments and training in the community weekly. 95% of the work is performed in the field. Case management is included. Only candidates residing within 25 miles of one of the specified service areas are considered for this position. The work is performed in Oakland, Hayward and Union City and the other areas listed in this ad. The job also requires attending meetings two times per month at one of three Passport To Learning's regional offices for submitting progress documentation, attending staff meetings, training, supervision, and client QA meetings. On-the-job training is provided.Compensation:
F-AST payrate: ($41.00 BS / $43.00 MA/MS) per hour, plus mileage reimbursement at .72.5 cent/mile and travel time at California's minimum wage rate.- Part-time position with possibility for additional hours when additional hours are available.
