We are currently seeking a full-time Aviation Training Specialist to contribute to the success and growth of our training programs and operational standards. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of regular in-person attendance at our Portsmouth, NH Flight Operations Training Center to support operational collaboration, training delivery, and departmental needs. About the Role The Aviation Training Specialist designs and delivers training programs for flight operations staff, with a strong focus on the Integrated Operations Center (IOC)—the hub where flights are scheduled, monitored, and supported. The IOC team plays a critical role in logistics and provides exceptional support to our owners, clients, and flight crews. This position requires someone who is personable, innovative, and organized—able to tailor instruction to diverse learning styles, manage multiple training schedules, and foster a positive learning environment. Emotional intelligence, resourcefulness, and a commitment to aviation excellence are key to success. Key Responsibilities Training Development & Delivery Design, update, and deliver flight operations training programs Ensure alignment with FAA regulations and company policies Lead classroom and hands-on sessions Compliance & Standards Monitor regulatory changes and update materials accordingly Maintain training manuals, syllabi, and lesson plans Promote operational safety, standardization, and efficiency Performance Monitoring Assess trainee performance and provide feedback Recommend improvements to training methods Collaboration & Support Partner with flight operations leadership and safety teams Support audits and operational changes Recordkeeping & Administration Maintain accurate training records Track compliance and report completion status Coordinate training events Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Education, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 1+ year(s) of curriculum development and instructional delivery Strong communication and presentation skills High level of Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint Preferred Experience working in an aviation training program under parts 61, 91(k), 135, 121 Familiarity with 14CFR 61/91/91(k)/135 FAA Pilot Certificate, Dispatcher Certificate, or equivalent experience Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) Proven experience in customer service best practices Why Join PlaneSense?
