What you'll do Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to recommend appropriate grooming treatments. Use safe animal handling techniques to ensure the comfort and safety of all pets during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, ensuring all tools are sanitized and ready for use. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service. Monitor the behavior of pets during grooming to identify any signs of stress or discomfort. Collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary to address any health concerns observed during grooming. Keep detailed records of each pet's grooming history, preferences, and any special instructions from owners. Experience Proven experience in pet grooming. Strong skills in dog training, animal handling, and restraint techniques to ensure a safe environment for pets. Familiarity with various breeds and their specific grooming needs is highly desirable. Experience in customer service to effectively engage with pet owners and address their inquiries. Ability to lift heavy animals safely as needed during grooming sessions.
