Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitter/Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care while ensuring the safety and well-being of our furry clients. This role involves walking dogs of various sizes and temperaments, providing companionship, exercise, and basic care during their outings. We also care for other pets such as cats, reptiles, birds...etc. Please do not apply if you are allergic to cats!!! Duties Walk dogs in various weather conditions, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation. Maintain control of dogs at all times, using appropriate leashes and harnesses. Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner. Provide basic pet care as needed, including feeding and administering medications. Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide updates on their pets' activities and well-being. Ensure all necessary equipment is clean and in good working condition before each walk. Handle any unexpected situations calmly, such as encounters with other animals or changes in weather. Experience While prior experience is not mandatory, the following skills are highly valued: Pet grooming experience to ensure dogs are well-maintained during walks. Background as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician to recognize health issues. Experience in pet sitting or animal handling to manage different breeds effectively. Familiarity with equine care is a plus for those who may also work with larger animals. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, such as assisting larger dogs or carrying supplies. Strong customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and ensure satisfaction with services provided. Must Have your own vehicle Have a flexible schedule Be available to do overnight care at the client's home Be available for all Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) Join us in providing loving care for our pets while enjoying the great outdoors!
