Camp Jimmydog LLC has been providing cage-free boarding and daycare in a home environment since 2006. We are expanding and opening our 3rd location and are looking for someone to fill a Live-in Position at our new location in Tucson, AZ. This is a great position for someone that has worked extensively as a trainer and behaviorist and would now like to enjoy living and working with groups of pre-screened happy dogs in a home environment. Our guests are welcomed into our homes and cared for as if they are our own. The houses and yards are set up for the comfort, fun and safety of all. This position is for a Live-in Dog Caretaker to take care of the dogs, manage the business effectively, keep the dogs safe and happy, and maintain excellent customer service and relations with their owners at our new, third location in Tucson, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong background in dog training, behavior, customer service and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will also possess the skills and experience that will allow them to assist in and eventually take over, admin and management responsibilities for all locations. Be aware, this is not a 9-5 job. Your living and working environment are the same. While there are "office hours" for the owners, the dogs are living there with you 24hrs a day. Some days are busier, some days are slower. Days off are given as blocks of days spread out throughout the year. During these blocks no dogs will be scheduled at this location. Requirements:
A solid base in professional dog training & behavior, including pack management and behavioral analysis Let's not forget their people! Excellent customer service skills Great team member and team leader Attention to detail Passion for cleaning Strong observational skills Knowledge of pet care best practices Ability and experience to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments Comfortable with heavy lifting when necessary - 80+ lbs Must own have reliable transportation and valid drivers license Willingness and ability to assist in care and maintenance of a house and yard Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. This is a live-in position that cares for our 4-legged guests during their stay. Perform behavioral evaluations on prospective new dogs Engaging in activities with the dogs Some training & behavioral mod Feeding and administering medications Nail trims and basic baths Keeping the pack happy and safe This position also interacts with our guests owners. Handle drop offs & pick ups Perform new client Meet & Greets (Evaluate dog and give tour of house and property) Client communication and updates on guests while there Admin and scheduling You will be living in a single family home. You will be expected to treat it as you would your own home Assist in upkeep and maintenance of the home and yard.
