What they do
An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description
Qualifications:
- Must have a positive attitude and thrive in a team environment including respecting the shop, employees, clients and dogs.
- Must be willing to help wherever you are needed and take direction well.
- Must be able to switch gears and multitask at any moment. Day to day operations can change due to cancellations and life events.
- Must have great attention to detail, strong grooming skills and able to take on any breed.
- Must have knowledge of skin/coat types and which products to use and when.
- Must have 2 or more years grooming experience.
- Must include portfolio and or samples of finished grooms along with resume.
- Must be willing to learn new techniques and keep up on continued education.
- Must be able to perform grooming services from start to finish. These services include bathing, prepping, fluff drying and trimming. Good finish work is a must.
- Must be able to converse with clients to get a good understanding of what they want. Communication must be strong. We have the best clients!
- Must have very gentle and patient handling skills we have a lot of nervous and senior pets that need extra love.
- Must have strong references.

Pay:
