Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for pet styling come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully groomed pets. In this energetic role, you will provide expert grooming services, ensure animal comfort and safety, and foster positive relationships with pet owners. Your skills in animal handling, grooming techniques, and customer service will help us deliver exceptional care and elevate the pet grooming experience. Responsibilities Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, pet coat styling, and nail trimming to meet each pet's specific needs. Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff during grooming procedures. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet coat maintenance. Assist with dog training activities and support veterinary staff with basic animal handling tasks when needed. Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools are sanitized and equipment is in excellent working condition. Support veterinary technicians or assistants with animal care tasks such as veterinary restraint or basic health assessments when appropriate. Lift heavy equipment or pets safely to prevent injury while providing a comfortable experience for the animals. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of professional dog grooming experience required. Proven experience in pet grooming, including pet coat styling and pet nail trimming. Knowledge of dog handling, animal handling, and companion animal care techniques. Experience working with veterinary professionals or in veterinary settings is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to engage with pet owners confidently and professionally. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle a variety of animals with patience and compassion. Background in dog training, veterinary technician work, veterinary assistant roles, or equine experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients and their pets. Pay:
$20.00 - $34.12 per hour
